Travelling to Japan

Have you ever seen one of these man-made natural beauties? Japanese garden design is not only a very popular tourist attraction, it is also a highly important traditional art form that has been developed for more than a century. These stunning Japanese gardens were created for different purposes hence all of them have their own styles. Some of them were created just to provide a relaxing stroll for Edo Period lords, while other dry stone gardens were designed for religious purposes by Zen monks. Great gardens are located all around the country, however most can be found in the former capital of Japan, Kyoto. The basic principle of a traditional Japanese Garden is to bringharmony, balance and unity between people and nature.

Enjoy!
