Travel Information

Europe is always revered for its history, with structures like castles, churches and old houses often at the top of the list of visitors frequenting the region. However, the region also has its share of great beaches. Here are some of the best beaches in Europe that you’d like to visit after purchasing travel insurance.

Platja de Sant Sebastia

The Platja de Sant Sebastia beach in Barcelona Spain is preferred by many tourists because of its white sand, blue waters and most of all, its location being right in the heart of the Catalonia region. Another favourite beach in Spain is the Cala Llentrisca in Ibiza, notorious for being a party haven. Cala Llentrisca is hard to find but has retained its Old World charm.

For families, El Palo beach in Malaga, Spain is a must-visit. It is considered the most family friendly among the numerous beaches along Costa del Sol. It offers a breath-taking view of the Costa del Sol.

Another beach worth visiting in Spain is the Es Trenc beach in Majorca. Unlike Cala Llentrisca and Platja de Sant Sebastia, the beach environment is quiet. It has a Caribbean feel and tourists would love its clear turquoise waters.

The Eiffel Tower is not the only attraction worth visiting in France. There is the Paloma Beach in Nice located at the southern tip of the country. The beach is a preferred destination of celebrities like the Hollywood power couple of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Visit this beach after you have procured travel insurance.

Fistral Beach

The United Kingdom is also blessed with a good beach called Fistral in Newquay. This beach is frequented by amateur and pro surfers. International surfing competitions are often held here especially during the summer season. Fistral beach is also often listed as having one of the most beautiful bays in the region.

There is also a beach worth visiting in Portugal. It is called Praia de Faro which is just near the Faro airport, thus making it a convenient choice for beach bums. The beach also happens to be one of the longest in Algarve. There are numerous activities worth trying here like windsurfing and sailing.

In Turkey, there’s Iztuzu Turtle beach which has a 4.5 kilometre coastline. It also happens to be the breeding ground of the endangered Loggerhead sea turtles. The nearly hour-long boat trip from Dalyan to the beach is made worthwhile by the sight of the sea turtles crawling along the beach.

Another good beach is the Baia Chia in Sardinia. It is peaceful in this beach, and the sight is beautiful as well with its turquoise waters and silky sand. Beach bums can relax here or enjoy several water sports. There are also nearby beautiful islands where dolphins are often spotted.

Myrtos Beach

In Greece, there’s the Myrtos beach that stands out with its breath-taking views and dramatic cliffs. It is located on the island of Kefalonia. You can enjoy a great vacation here which can be made worry-free if you purchase a Travel Insurance.
