Estepona will be hosting the Over 50’s Show again this November. The popular lifestyle event will take place on the weekend of 8 and 9 November supported by hundreds of various businesses and huge numbers of the Costa del Sol’s residents.
The event is admission-free with a broad entertaining and educational program. Although the show is dedicated to the older expats and native Spanish seniors, you don’t have to be over 50 to attend, as activities are not age specific. Anyone looking to have a fun and educational day out will get a chance to take dancing and golf lessons, get finance and legal advice, enjoy cooking, pottery, leatherwork demonstrations and lots more. Annual visitors will be pleased to know that all the free attractions that contributed to the success of Over the 50’s Show will be featured in this year’s activity calendar, including fashion shows, make-overs, computer and Internet tuition, health checks, guidance on cosmetic procedures and many more. Eric Knowles from “The Antiques Roadshow” will offer free antiques valuations – one of the most successful features of the show. At the event’s “one-stop shop” senior visitors will be able to get information on their physical and financial health. Blood pressure and glucose tests, as well as spine and bone density monitoring will be available. There will also be an opportunity of joining free aerobic and yoga classes.
Expats and those who enjoy travelling at any age might be interested in the presentation of travel insurance policies by Globelink International Ltd. Representatives of the company will welcome anyone interested in staying safe and financially secure even while travelling abroad. The importance of travel insurance will be a matter of discussion and it will let the visitors know if they really need a cover for the journeys and which one will be optimal if they do. Globelink International Ltd is one of a few travel insurance companies that cover senior travellers up to 84 years. This insurer is also known for easy coverage of some medical conditions which are often the companions of the older travellers. Globelink will be running several Prize Draws throughout the both days and will have four Kindles to give away to the lucky winners. Don’t miss your chance at getting a piece of financial advice and a prize.
Whether you’re an expat or an indigenous Spain resident, a senior or someone who cares for a senior relative or a friend, this presentation might help you see travel insurance as an essential safety measure. Travel insurance experts Tracey Paul and Sarah Baines will be available to answer any questions relating to Globelink's range of travel insurance cover, which is available for people living in Spain. Come and visit the Over 50s Show at the Palacio de Congressos y Exposiciones, Estepona on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th November, from 11am until 6pm on both days.
