Winter Sports travel insurance policies have been designed to cover people travelling out on a skiing or snow boarding holiday and gives you that extra cover for that expensive equipment or compensation should your resort be closed due to lack of snow (please see terms and conditions). Winter Sports Travel Insurance is also referred to as ski travel insurance or snowboarding travel insurance.
The cheapest winter sports policy is £ (based on 1 adult aged up to 50 travelling in Europe for up to 8 days).
The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) / Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) provides some emergency healthcare within the EU, but it does not cover Repatriation costs, or a doctor or nurse escort home; nor lost or stolen property. You need Travel Insurance for that.
!If you plan to participate in any Winter Sports Activities, you need to purchase Winter Sports cover, or an Annual Multi Trip Policy with an individual ‘trip duration’ minimum of 45 days (as this will give you 17 days free Winter Sports Cover). See our list of Winter Sports Activities below to check that they cover everything that you plan to do.
From the Alps and Dolomites to British Columbia and Alberta - our policies will cover your ski holiday in any part of the world.
Winter sports insurance cover can be purchased as a Single trip up to the age of 70 years or if you purchase an Annual Multi-Trip policy with a 45 day trip duration, you get 17 days free Winter Sports cover for people aged up to 65 years and 17 days free cover in European areas for those aged between 66-70 yrs.
