What is End Supplier Insolvence and Travel Disruption Cover?

You may think about protection for medical costs, or loss of personal possessions when purchasing Travel Insurance, but what if one of your travel providers goes bust, or a conflict breaks out where you are travelling?

Globelink will cover you if your transport or travel provider can no longer carry on its business or service as a result of financial failure.

  • Cover for irrecoverable losses that you have paid in advance
  • Cover for the cost of a one way fare to complete the return journey and get home
  • Cover for irrecoverable loss of unused and prepaid expenses: Scheduled Airline costs, accommodation providers (including hotels, Apartments and Villas), car hire operators, ferry/cruise operators, coach or train operators, theme parks, caravan / campsite, mobile homes and camper rentals

Travel Disruption Cover, Force Majeure Insurance

    • Cover if war or warlike events delay your journey by more than 24 hours
    • Cover if a major climatic condition, or natural disaster causes delay (eg: volcanic eruption, earthquake)
    • Accommodation, food and travel expenses if your return journey is delayed by more than 24 hours. (eg: if civil war broke out and caused your return flight home to be delayed by more than 24 hours, you could claim up to £100 a day (for up to 7 days) in a bed and breakfast and up to £20 per day for food.

    This type of cover is a real consideration in these unsettled times where conflict is on our door step – especially as it’s so easy to make holiday and travel arrangements independently. So if you have booked your flights, accommodation and travel separately be aware that many policies will not cover you for Supplier Failure, or Travel Disruption Cover as standard.
