1) You can arrange cover at the normal premium and accept that you will not be able to make a claim for anything related to the pre-existing medical condition.
OR, if you require your policy to cover you for claims connected to a pre-existing medical condition
2) Contact ASUA Medical Screening who will advise you whether your pre-existing medical condition can be covered, whether there will be an additional premium to pay or any other changes to the policy terms and conditions. There is a 48 hour waiting period from the date of policy issue before the insurance takes effect as a fraud prevention measure. New Claims requiring inpatient treatment which can be independently verified, can be made within the first 48 hours.
There is no 14 day cooling off period when you are already travelling, so no refund is available in the event you cancel your policy.
