The coming winter doesn’t mean you have to confine yourself indoors, as there are several destinations where you can have some serious fun. Before you pack your snow board and ski gear, don’t forget to grab some winter sports travel insurance so no matter what happens you will be ready.

If you’re planning to visit, do it in January as that is when the festival commences.

Alaska, US

If you’re into wildlife, consider flying across the Atlantic and go on an adventure in Alaska, particularly the Chena River State Recreation Area. While you are there, you can participate in winter sports activities or watch the Yukon Quest sled dog race. In addition, you may join the Snow Coach Tour where you’ll be able to see the Northern Lights in all their glory.
