Travel Information

What do you think of when you hear the word “music”? Things that come to my mind are great memories, good places, amazing people, mood changing, incredible impressions, exciting feelings and travelling. Many people would agree that Music is a personal source of inspiration, and it always goes together with Travel. That is why we have decided to create a list of Top 10 Travel Songs of Modern Times.

1. Come Away With Me by Norah Jones

lyrical travel song

This song is lyrical and romantic, a song for a happy couple who is having a honeymoon or travelling together to some romantic place. Agree that it is much pleasant to travel with aspecial someone than alone as well as it is also great to share common memories. These soulful lines are so inspiring:

“Come away with me and we'll kiss
On a mountaintop
Come away with me
And I'll never stop loving you”

2. Road Trippin' by Red Hot Chili Peppers

This is the song that encourages to start travelling to get new impressions and experience new life. Sometimes when you are tiredof daily routine it is a great idea to make a pause and take a vacation! This summer is precisely the time to do the following:

“It's time to leave this town
It's time to steal away
Let's go get lost”

3) Upside Down by Jack Johnson

miracle travel song

Do you believe in a miracle? I definitely do. It so great to have a dream and believe that it will come true one day! And it will. You just need to be confident about your dreams. Do you know why children are the happiest humans in the world? It is because they believe in the beauty of their dreams. Unfortunately, the more mature we become the less we believe in a miracle. This song helps to believe that everything is possible.

“I want to turn the whole thing upside down
I'll find the things they say just can't be found”

4) Home by Michael Bublé

I think you could guess what this song is about according to its title. I think all people at least once felt homesick. You would say it is a negative feeling. And I would not agree with you saying that it is a good feeling to miss your home, your relatives and friends. It means that you have people who are waiting for you. It gives comfort and brings smile to your face. If not this feeling such amazing lines would not appear:

“Another summer day
Has come and gone away
In Paris and Rome
But I wanna go home
May be surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
I just wanna go home”

5) Life For Rent by Dido

One of the most important things in the life is determination. It means to know what you want from your life. Without this knowledge you will live a ‘life for rent’ as it is said in this song. When you know where to go and what to do you will find out the ways how to reach your goals. Many of my friends have told me that travelling helped them to find their calling and reconsider their reality. Maybe, you should also try? ;)

“I've always thought that I would love to live by the sea
To travel the world alone and live more simply”

6) The Ragged Sea by Alexi Murdoch

long road music for travel

Songs are the best thing on the road. Who would dare to disagree with me? Nobody because you all know I am right. Especially songs are good help when you have a long road. Music has an amazing ability to cheer up, to elate, and to raise the spirits. Thus, the road seems to be shorter than it is.

“Your journey has been long
Your road was filled with song”

7) Book Of Days by Enya

Here is one more proof of why Travel goes together with Music. Travel may help to find your calling. On the similar fashion, music will help you reach your goals. It is often easier to work and do other things listening to music. Especially nowadays you can see a great amount of people having earphones while walking, cycling, reading, eating, doing almost everything. Certainly, it can’t happen without serious reasons. Music is humans’ big mate.

“No day, no night, no moment,
can hold me back from trying.
I'll fly, I'll fall, I'll falter
I'll find my day may be, Far and Away.
Far and Away.”

8) Beautiful World by Colin Hay

We are so busy every day that we don’t have even few seconds to stop and look around. Therefore, sometimes we don’t notice how beautiful world is and don’t value this nature gift. Fortunately, there is travelling that helps us realise and see the beauty of our world. Travelling helps forget about problems and difficulties. So, travelling is definitely a positive side of the life.

“My my my it’s a beautiful world
I like driving in my car
Roll the top down sometimes I travel quite far
Drive to the ocean stare up at the stars.”

9) All Summer Long by Kid Rock

Kid Rock

In spite of the fact that this song is pretty young it was a number-one hit in eight countries across Europe, Australia and the United Kingdom. The entire song is all about travel. It gives and advice to escape from the real world and start trying different things. It is a good way to challenge yourself. It may be that you open incredible things about yourself that you have never known before!

“And we were trying different things
We were smoking funny things
Making love out by the lake to our favorite song
Sipping whiskey out the bottle, not thinking 'bout tomorrow”

10) Travel to Romantis by Ace of Base

What could be better than a vacation after a long intense year of work? What could be better thing to do on the vacation? With no doubts it is travelling. Here is exactly what is this song about:

“Funny how everything changes for me
Memories take me away
Each time I open the door to my room
Where I must stay in all day
I don't want to be here, I'm much too tired
So I close my eyes and, 'snap', I'm with you
We are on vacation, you and me together
Lying in the sunshine…”
